La Cabañita Park Restaurant Maspalomas

Driving through Maspalomas, past Aqualand and towards Palmitos Park is where you will find La Cabañita Park Restaurant Grill. To celebrate the Champions League win for Real Madrid, we wanted to choose a nice restaurant off the beaten path but not too far up in the mountains and it was the perfect location.

At the entrance, the first thing I noticed was the wonderful Canarian balcony made with figures. It was difficult deciding where to sit as there was so much to see, with plants and old Canarian farm tools decorating the outside dining area, it was like being invited into a secret garden.

Papas con Mojo La Cabañita Park Restaurant Gran Canaria

We ordered some drinks, water from Gran Canaria’s holy village Teror, then perused the menu. To give you an idea of prices, a plate of papas con mojo ‘wrinkled Canarian potatoes with mojo sauce’ are only 3,80€, more importantly they were delicious!

This Argentinian chorizo had just enough spice to compliment the papas con mojo, ensalada mixta, pan Catalan and champiñones al ajillo.

The service was great, we weren’t waiting long for dinner and as we enjoyed our drinks could smell the chorizo being cooked on the grill.

For the technology minded, there was a WIFI sign on the restaurant door, but I couldn’t get any reception on my phone at all, this turned out to be a good thing and full attention was on my dinner partner.
Great if you are looking to switch off and just eat dinner in nice quiet surroundings without interruptions.

La Cabañita Park have their very own gift shop where you can pick up some nice souvenirs from your visit, including local handcraft items.

Obviously we couldn’t try all of the food (looks like a second visit will have to be made), but if you are looking for delicious grilled foods with some typical Canarian dishes and tapas, this place is worth the visit and it’s very picturesque. There’s even a bouncy castle for the kids.
